Shenogen is founded by four US-trained Chinese returnee. The team is uniquely positioned to bring together complementary skills and expertise, covering biology, traditional Chinese medicine, modern medicinal chemistry, clinical and strategic development as well as financing and business experience.

Kun Meng - Ph.D. in Biochemistry (Chinese Academy of Sciences); Post-doc (Harvard University), MPA (Harvard University); former CEO of TCM1 Science and Technology Ltd and CTO of Nature Perfect Pharmaceutical Holding Ltd. (Hong Kong); with over 7 years of senior management experience in China's pharmaceutical industry; rich knowledge and expertise in traditional Chinese herbal formulations.

Zhao-Yi (Charlie) Wang - Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics (Washington University at St. Louis); Post-doc (Princeton University); Assistant Professor (Harvard University); currently Professor of Pathology at Creighton University; PI for many grants from NIH and other sources; over 20 years of research experience in molecular cancer biology with 40+ publications at leading journals.

Jin Li - PhD in Synthetic Chemistry (University of Wisconsin) from James Cook's lab; one of the top medicinal chemistry scientists at Pfizer, responsible for the discovery and development of several drug candidates including the anti-obesity MTP inhibitor; over 10 years of experience in leading drug discovery and development.

Karen Liu - PhD in Immunology (Harvard University); over 9 years work experience in China; ex-McKinsey consultant; successful Internet entrepreneur in China; angel investor in biotechnology, and currently a venture capitalist covering life science and biomedical investment at a premier China based PE and VC fund.
